FAQ ABOUT FENG SHUI

Why the hell did you put feng shui on your beauty webbie?.  Because I figure that feng shui is sort of like makeup for your bedroom...get it? lol, plus I didn't feel like adding it to Tikibu because then I'd have to go back and modify all the pages. And Jelly Realm is dead, basically, so ya know. 

Whatever, but what is  feng shui?  If you don't know what feng shui is, it is "The Chinese art or practice of positioning objects, especially graves, buildings, and furniture, based on a belief in patterns of yin and yang and the flow of chi that have positive and negative effects" (as quoted from yourDictionary.com). Of course, I am not going to tell you about graves, more like how to feng shui your room.

What's the purpose of it?  Basically it helps make your room more flowing and nicely designed. It makes your room easier to organize and "full of positive energy." Plus I hear having good feng shui in your room means better hygiene habits, sleeping hours, and (if you do your homework in your room) grades.

HERE WE GO: Julie's How To Feng Shui Your Room
Take a compas in your room and determine where north and south are. It can get kind of complicated, especially if a corner of your room is north or something. But ultimately you decide how your room is layed out, so it can be tweaked a little bit.

health. The only thing is you don't want an object in the center of the room, because that could interfere with your health. So don't put your bed in the middle of the room or anything. I also like to meditate in the middle of the room.

helpful people. Put pictures of your role models or people you admire here. It will help you become more inspired to be like them. 

career. This side of the room is where your goals, to-do-lists, and reminders go. Your bookshelf or any other reading materials also belong here, altho all this stuff and all of the knowledge stuff can be mixed, because the northeast section of the room is really one big category. 

knowledge. It's pretty obvious that this is where your desk goes, in the northeast corner. Do your homework at this desk and you will think more clearly. It will really help you study!

family. You can put pictures of your family on the wall or something. If you are having problems with a family member, putting their picture over here will help the relationship. If you are religious, a little prayer altar could go here also (or possibly in the helpful people NW part)

prosperity. Your bed goes here (if this means the foot of your bed is facing the door, move it to the S, W, or SW section), also any good tests or papers can be tacked up on the wall over here. 

reputation. People like to put pictures of their friends over here, but this section can also be used for fame. Take pictures of your favorite celebrities here too. Personally, I like to put cut-outs of makeup (and feng shui ;-)) articles over here too.

love. Put a picture of your crush here. it will encourage the relationship. If you're embarassed about putting his picture on your wall for the whole world to see, but your bureau here and hid his pic in your underwear drawer (he he he it's just a cute tradition)

creativity. Put pictures you have drawn or really like. Put your sewing stuff or arts and crafts here; it will help you with ideas.
